What you might read statistics about Eastman is that our school is 99% Hispanic, on the edge of East Los Angeles. Eastman is on also on the edge of so much more. We are committed to strong partnerships which has resulted in students learning about medicine working with USC Pre-med students, students working with enrichment in the Arts through Inner City Arts, and engage in community service involvement with Schools on Wheels, the Pajama Project and local organizations, as well as Environmental Studies through EnrichLA.
Students participate in extended learning opportunities such as Engineering, Robotics, Speech and Debate, Student Leadership, Drama and others. Students have opportunities to learn beyond the traditional classroom experience that will open doors for them to be college ready and open their minds to dream far beyond their neighborhood.
Partnerships with Cal State Los Angeles, UCLA, USC and ELAC have provided our students with resources of support, mentorship and models for achievement.
At Eastman, we are committed to the young minds we serve. We see them not only as young Hispanic children from the Eastside, but see their potential to achieve, create, lead and be change-makers in the future. We are honored to be a part of the great future contributions they will make in our wondrous world!
